Nasarawa State Youth Development Commission Bill Clears Second Reading

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly made significant progress today, November 5, 2024, as the Youth Development Commission Bill successfully passed its second reading. This milestone move is expected to boost youth development in the state.

The stakeholders instrumental in the bill's passage includes, Hon. Mohammed Garba Isimbabi, Chairman, House Committee on Youth and Sport Development, Hon. Shuaibu Sani, SSA Youth and Sports to the Executive Governor Nasarawa state, Action Aid Nigeria, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Nasarawa State Chapter, Nasarawa State Youth Advocacy Cluster

and Hon. Musa Ibrahim Abubakar, Member representing Doma South in the NSHA

The public hearing date will be announced soon by the House Standing Committee, while the committee report is scheduled for November 18, 2024.

This development is a significant step towards empowering youths in Nasarawa State, and stakeholders are eagerly awaiting the bill's final passage.
