Governor Umar Namadi of jigawa state has pledged to partner with the Bank of Industry, ( BOI) to access soft loan to small, medium and even large scale business enterprinuers in jigawa state.
Speaking at the signing of the MOU with the Management of Bank of Industry, ( BOI) held at Government House Dutse, Governor Namadi said, the occasion was a milestone in the journey toward poverty eradication, Jobs creation, growth and development.
He noted that, empowering people through their own business of choice is one of the strategy we adopted for accelerating growth and development in the state as Bank of Industry is the key partners in achieving so.
"We are very happy today to have BOI branch in our state, while enjoined relevant state government agencies, among other stake holders full cooperation and engaged public enlightenment on the bank mode of operations"
Responding, the Executive Director Small and Medium Enterprise (SMEs) Bank Of Industry Abuja, Alhaji Umar Shekarau said, the N6 billion MOU signed with Jigawa state government is the biggest MOU signed with any other state government in the history of the bank.
He said, in the last 13 years they
have been writing letters and paying advocacy for the establishment of the bank in Jigawa state but to no avail, until now in just six months of their engagements with Governor Umar Namadi the BOI dreams become a reality. B
Shekarau then commended Governor Namadi for being man of his words and his indefitigable commitment to empowered and support Jigawa people to eradicate poverty, jobs creation, growth and sustainable development.
" As we signed this MOU and also commissioned our Dutse branch today, we assured Jigawa state government our commitment in achieving the desire goals, Umar declared".
