Jigawa Three Black Days

Certainly the days of 25,26, and off course the 27 of December will ever remain unforgotten days to both the Government and the people of jigawa state especially Governor Umar Namadi Danmodi of jigawa state who announced the demise of his mother Late Hajiya Maryam Namadi who passes in early hour's of Wednesday the 25 day of December this year at the age of eighty four years.

The tragic death which thrown the entire state into state of mourning, had also grounded the state's function's and business activities to a standstill as thousand symphatisers were seen trouping jigawa state especially to the residence of Governor Namadi at Kafin Hausa to console with him over the tragic lost of his beraved mother .Least amongst are the first Class Emirs of the state's five Emirates headed by the Emir of Hadejia, His Highness, Alh. Adamu Abubakar, Gumel, Kazaure, Ringim and Dutse.

Other's are Federal government delegations, Governor's Forum, presence of Governor's of Kano, Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, Kogi, Kwara, among Others.

A day after the demise of the Governor's mother, yet another tragic and fatal auto crash death of the Governor's elder son, Late Abdulwahab occurred on his way back to Kafin Hausa from Dutse.

In his Condolence message to Governor Namadi, the Deputy Senate President in a statement by Ismail Mudashir Special Adviser to the Deputy President of the Senate on Media and Publicity He urged Governor Namadi and all those she left behind to take solace, describing Late Maryam Namadi as devoted Muslim, and a righteous life dedicated to the service of Allah and humanity.

" Hajiya was a devout Muslim who dedicated her life to the service of Allah and humanity. May Allah SWT grant her Jannatul Firdausi.

“Our prayers go out to the governor and all other persons she left behind. May Allah give them the strength to bear

her passage. Amin Ya Allah," he said.

Late Hajiya Maryam, was since been buried according to Islamic rites in the governor's hometown of Kafin Hausa, Jigawa State.

Also announced was the passing away of the mother of former Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Muhammad Babandede, at the age of 90.

Babandede, a Jigawa indigene, made the announcement in a statement, he issued today Friday begins by quoting a verse from the Holly Quran, saying, "We are from Allah, and to Him we will all return," indicating, I announce the death of my mother Hajia Uwani Babandede today. She was 90 years old and survived by two children, Hajiya Yelwa and myself, as well as more than 70 grandchildren and great-grandchildren."

The former immigration boss's mother passed away on Thursday night at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital in Kano after a brief illness.

According to the statement, "Her funeral prayer was held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Masjid Zhera on Zoo Road, Kano, praying for his mother's soul, to rest in perfect peace in Aljannah Firdausi."

Babandede's loss comes at a difficult time for his home state of Jigawa, which is currently mourning the death of the mother and son of the Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi.
