A Fulani youth sociocultural organization, in collaboration with Bizi Pay Mobile, has organized a three-day training workshop focused on financial inclusion and digital inclusiveness for Fulani youth. The event was held Tuesday at the Manpower Development Institute, Dutse, through the support from the Jigawa State Government.
The workshop aimed to create awareness among Fulani youth on the importance of embracing digital education, acquiring skills, in achieving self-reliance on Educated Fulani Youths numbering about 350 as pivotal.
During the three days training it was expected that Participants, which were drawn from each of the 285 political wards across jigawa state will receive a training on various aspects of digital financing, mobile money operations, and digital business development.
Speaking at the event, Governor Umar Namadi commended the organizers for their foresight in empowering the youth, emphasizing the importance of equipping the younger generation with ICT education and digital business skills to enable them to thrive in today’s competitive
economy.
"This is a remarkable initiative, and I assure you that my administration will provide all the needed support.
The state’s agency for employment and youth empowerment will step in to support the group. We are committed to making Jigawa State a hub for the digital economy and innovation," he said.
The event’s highlight was the conferment of an award on Governor Umar Namadi, recognizing him as the first governor to introduce palliative shops among his peers.
Chairman of the Bandiraku Fulbe Youth Association in Jigawa State, Comrade Isah Abubakar Birnin Kudu, restated the association’s commitment to empowering Fulani youth through education and skills acquisition.
