Era of administering Local Government Council by proxy in Jigawa is over - Gov. Danmodi to sworn in Council Chairmen

Governor Umar Danmodi of jigawa state has sworn-in the 27 newly elected Chairmen's and their deputies with a Stern warning that the era of administering Local Government Council's in jigawa state by proxy is over.

Speaking at Govt. House Banquet Hall in Dutse on the occasion of the swearing-in ceremony of the elections of the 27 newly elected Council Chairmen's and their Deputies.

" As from today government will no longer tolerate any flimpsy excuses, or unnecessary truancy or abscondment from any elected local government Chairmen's any longer, stressing being a custodian of your constituency's, you must stay in your domain and observed your Civic responsibility's deligently for the overall development of your respective council's".

Similarly Governor Danmodi described today's event as historic as the state is witnessing the swearing-in of an elected Deputy Chairperson

of Malam-Madori Council in person of Honorable Amina Haruna.

He implore the elected Council Chairmen's to Uphold the fear of God, financial prudence, and committed to the cause of humanity in placing the interest of their community above their personal interest.

Again he won them to stir- off yourselves on issues of land aquisition, sales nor allocation as government is Keen on finances and administration of local council's with utmost desciplined, transparency, and financial prudence in line with zero tolerance to corruption and mortgage of public funds.
