BREAKING: TINUBU SHAKES UP CABINET, MERGED MINISTRIES, MINISTERS REASSIGNED AND MADE NEW APPOINTMENTS

In a surprise move, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced a major restructuring of his cabinet, merging ministries, reassigning ministers, and making new appointments.

The changes, aimed at enhancing efficiency and delivering on his campaign promises.

The changes include the Ministry of Nigeria Delta Development which has been renamed Ministry of Regional Development, overseeing the regional development commissions, Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Arts and Culture have been merged into the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy.

Ten ministers have been reassigned to new portfolios, five have been discharged and seven new ministers have been appointed.

Notable reassignments include Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu, now Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, and Dr. Morufu Olatunji Alausa, now

Minister of Education while Hon Imaan Suleiman Ibrahim assigned to Ministry of Women Affairs.

New appointments include Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, and Bianca Odinaka Odumegu-Ojukwu as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

President Tinubu charged the newly appointed ministers to see their appointment as a call to serve the nation and contribute to the administration's priorities.

"This restructuring demonstrates our commitment to efficient governance and delivering on our promises to Nigerians," Tinubu said.

The changes take immediate effect.
