Mallam Bature, a respected community leader, has made a passionate appeal to Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State to prioritize youth and women-friendly policies for the state's development. This report highlights the significance of Bature's plea and the potential impact of inclusive policies on Katsina's growth.

He deposited that Youth and Women are the Backbone of Katsina's Future and Katsina State, like many others in Nigeria, faces significant challenges in terms of youth unemployment, poverty, and gender inequality. The state's youth population, which constitutes a substantial portion of the electorate, is eager for opportunities to contribute to the state's development. Similarly, women in Katsina face obstacles in accessing education, healthcare, and economic empowerment. By adopting youth and women-friendly policies, Governor Radda can unlock the potential of these critical demographics.

He wrote this in his Facebook handle that in 2017, he genuinely aspired to govern Katsina and titled the campaign "Time for the Youth." Support Ibrahim Bature for Katsina State Governor.

He said I wrote a book on my agendas and how to implement them, but it seems the agendas are still unfulfilled. They are;

  1. 90% Youth Cabinet Members

  2. 40% women.

  3. Develop an independent revenue source for Katsina State.

  4. Stronger economy.

  5. Education will be compulsory and accessible in rural areas.

  6. Provide an alternative solution to Almajiri.

  7. Youth/Women Empowerment.

8.) ICT-Driven Administration.

  1. Better and more affordable health care for rural and urban areas.

  2. Transparent Government (will be publishing the monthly revenue of the state online and total expenditure).

  3. Agricultural Transformation.

  4. Establish a Katsina independent power plant.

  5. Infrastructural Development.

  6. Zero Tolerance to Corruption.

  7. Respect for the Rule of Law.

  8. Insecurities: I will use two tactics: defeat the present actors using force and address the root cause of the banditry by creating sustainable ruga settlements across all our major fulani settlements in the state.

  9. Create a Ministry for Livestock and, as animal scientists, ensure the productivity and welfare of livestock are improved. I will give the sector priority as one of the ways for the government to generate an independent revenue source.

  10. Partnership: I will make

sure Katsina partners with a number of countries, NGOs, and development partners so as to ensure sustainable development.

  1. In the industrial revolution, I will make sure Katsina becomes one of the best hubs for investment. I will revive all abandoned local industries and create more through the thorough and tireless effort of inviting various industries across the globe to come and invest.

  2. I will continue with the Shema Dubai Market project, Shanghai Farm Initiatives. I will borrow a model from the UAE by creating Katsina that will attract traders and tourists from all over the world. So help me, Allah.

Mallam Bature further itemize some benefits of these Inclusive Policies:

  1. Economic Growth: Empowering youth and women can boost economic productivity, reduce poverty, and increase GDP.

  2. Social Stability: Addressing the needs of youth and women can reduce social unrest, improve security, and promote community cohesion.

  3. Human Capital Development: Investing in education, healthcare, and skills development can enhance Katsina's human capital and competitiveness.

As a patriotic citizen of Katsina, I am calling on Governor Dikko Umaru Radda to implement some of these agendas for the overall benefit of Katsina State.

Bature's call to action is a timely reminder of the urgent need to prioritize youth and women-friendly policies in Katsina State. By embracing inclusive development strategies, Governor Dikko Radda can unlock the potential of Katsina's youth and women, driving the state towards sustainable growth, social stability, and
